<p>A liquid crystal display and a method of manufacturing an optical film are provided to efficiently enhance the optical anisotropic performance, without increasing the thickness of the optical film. A liquid crystal display includes a first polarizing plate(31), a liquid crystal cell(4), and a second polarizing plate(32) installed opposite to the first polarizing plate about the liquid crystal cell. The first polarizing plate has a first polarizer(110), a first film(21) provided on the first polarizer, and a second film(22) provided on the first polarizer. The second polarizing plate has a second polarizer(120), a third film(23) provided on the second polarizer, and a fourth film(24) provided on the second polarizer. At least one of the first to fourth films comprises a fatty acid cellulose ester film having acetyl group and propionyl group.</p> |
