The utility model relates to manufacturing of rifle ammunition. A method to make cartridges includes making shell with equipping it with powder charge, bullet and capsule. To decrease consumption of expensive non-ferrous metals and to decrease labor consumption and power consumption the shell is made through calibration of the rim of a shell of cartridge made before, free of bullet, powder charge and capsule, after that the shell is equipped with new powder charge, bullet and capsule.
