METHOD FOR ASSESSING SEVERITY OF PYO-NECROTIC LESIONS OF DIABETIC FOOT

The method for assessing the severity of the pyo-necrotic lesions of the diabetic foot consists in estimating the leukocyte index of intoxication and the aggression index. The protein blood serum content is assessed in the sample of the capillary blood of the patient taken from the big toe of the foot. The aggression index is calculated in the affected low limb and the intact upper one. In the patients with the pyo-necrotic lesions of the diabetic foot the aggression index in the affected low limb is twice as much as in the intact upper limb. The index exceeding three is indicative of the severe course and possible generalization of the infection and the septic complications.
