PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon dioxide sensor high in a singularity for CO2 , in particular a carbon dioxide sensor low in sensitivity of H2 O and excellent in sensitivity for CO2 . SOLUTION: In a carbon dioxide sensor comprising a solid electrolyte 1, a reference electrode 2 formed on one face of the solid electrolyte 1, a detection electrode 3 formed on a face counter to the reference electrode 2, and a carbonate 4 which is separated from and balanced with CO2 and is added to or stacked in the detection electrode 3, a solid electrolyte is constituted of a sintered body which sinters a mixture containing a compound represented by LiO2 .M2 O3 .(SiO2 )2 (M denotes a lanthanum group element) of 30-99wt.%; and alumina (Al2 O3 ) of 70-1wt.%. |
