<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the handling operability of a card. <P>SOLUTION: This card mounting/demounting device for mounting/demounting the card having a plurality of electrode portions lined along a mounting/demounting direction comprises a plurality of terminals 15 electrically conducted to the electrode portions of the card, respectively, a holder 35 for abutting on the card so as to be moved with the movement of the card, a stopper 38 for locking the holder 35 in position, and a kick-off spring 16 for pushing the holder 35 toward an insertion port by unlocking the stopper 38.
