PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide footlights which can be installed without projecting from a wall surface and impeding the passage of cleaners and people in wheelchairs, turns on automatically during power outages, and allows fluorescent lamps to emit light appropriately under normal conditions and during power outages. SOLUTION: A box 1 has a double mounting frame 2 mounted integrally therewith, which corresponds to a switch box. A lamp shade 3 is freely removably put over a front opening, a lamp holder 4 for mounting an illuminating lamp L and a rechargeable battery 5 or the like are enclosed inside, and a reflector 8 is stored into place. Normally the power for lighting the illuminating lamp L is obtained from a commercial ac power supply; in the event of the failure of the commercial ac power supply, the illuminating lamp L is lighted with the rechargeable battery 5 as a power supply. |
