PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a halogen-free, flame-retardant polyethylene resin composition satisfying V-0 standard, good mechanical characteristics, moldability, especially injection moldability, and excellent heat resistance, and to provide a molded product thereof. SOLUTION: This resin composition is obtained by compounding 100 pts.wt. base resin with 25-60 pts.wt. metal hydroxide and 3-10 pts.wt. red phosphorus. The base resin is a mixture obtained by compounding at least one kind of an ethylenic copolymer selected from the group consisting of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and an ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer, with a linear ethylene-α-olefin copolymer in a proportion by weight regulated so as to be 1:(0.1-0.5). The content of the total of the vinyl acetate copolymer and the ethyl acrylate comonomer in the base resin is 17.0-23.0 wt.%. The molded product is obtained by molding the resin composition.
