<p>Moistening a web of material by heating a moistening medium and ejecting it through a nozzle in the direction of the web comprises keeping the medium in liquid form under pressure until it is ejected. An independent claim is also included for apparatus for moistening a web of material, comprising a device for supplying a moistening medium, a heater, a nozzle system through which the heated medium is ejected onto the web, and a pressure-increasing device between the supply device and the nozzle system.</p> |
