The disclosed system and method for computer aided training and certificatio n employs a central network (101), containing a serversystem (103) and a stora ge media (104) interacting through server software (105), for storing certification information and plurality of training units (102) arranged int o training center (106). In preferred embodiments, the training units (102) ar e individual systems compromising training software running on a turn-key base d personal computer. An advantage of the invention is that the software is completely customized on each training unit (102) to provide instruction usi ng customized multi-media content.
