FRET(fluorescence resonance energy transfer) probes for fluorescent detection of EPSPS(5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase) gene are provided to accurately calculate content of genetically modified raw materials in raw food, and quantify the content of cells containing recombinant genes. A pair of probes for detecting EPSPS gene is characterized in that (A) an energy donor and an energy acceptor is labeled in the 3'-terminal and 5'-terminal, respectively, which are adjacent together when they hybridize with the EPSPS gene, (B) the energy donor and energy acceptor are located in the distance where FRET is possible when they hybridize with the EPSPS gene, and (C) a chromophore capable of quenching the fluorescence of the energy acceptor in another terminal of a primer labeled with the energy acceptor is further labeled. The primer pair is DNA, RNA or PNA oligomer; the primer pair has the nucleotide sequences of SEQ ID NO:1-SEQ ID NO:2, SEQ ID NO:3-SEQ ID NO:4, SEQ ID NO:5-SEQ ID NO:6 or SEQ ID NO:7-SEQ ID NO:8; and the energy donor is FAM(5-carboxy fluorescein), the energy acceptor is TAMRA(5-carboxytetramethylrhodamine), and the chromophore is QSY(R)7.
|
