A centrifugal compensation power chuck for a lathe is provided to cut down cost, and to process a work piece precisely by pressing a jaw with a head part of a balance weight with centrifugal force in turning the chuck, replacing a push pin and continuously keeping clamping force in turning the chuck at high speed. A weight housing(110) is formed outside a jaw(102) in an outer periphery of a body(101) of a centrifugal compensation chuck(100), and provided with a space part(113). A balance weight(120) is composed of a head part(121) and a tail part(122), turned by a shaft(124) and combined with the space part. The jaw is pressed by the head part of the balance weight with leverage of the balance weight by generating centrifugal force in turning the chuck to maintain claming force. A shaft insertion hole(123) is formed in the middle of the head part, and a push pin insertion groove(131) is formed in a lower part of the head part. The tail part is formed to be longer than the head part to press the head part by lifting up the tail part.
