A centrifugal compensation structure of a draw-down type chuck of a lathe is provided to process a work piece easily by decreasing loss of centrifugal force of a jaw in turning the chuck with a balance weight and keeping initial gripping force in spite of changing rpm. An inclined surface(25) is formed by cutting an upper part of a wedge plunger, and a balance weight(50) is moved and embedded in a weight storage space formed in a rear part of an inclined plunger insertion groove of a body(40). A shaft(52) is formed in a head part(51) of the balance weight, and rotated and inserted to a shaft insertion hole(51a) formed at both sides of the weight storage space. An end of the head part of the balance weight is placed on the inclined surface of the wedge plunger. A push pin insertion groove(53a) is formed in an upper part of the balance weight, and a push pin(54) is inserted to the push pin insertion groove. A spring(55) is formed in a lower part of the push pin to apply elastic force.
