A flat panel display device is provided to prevent the degradation of brightness of the display device by improving an arrangement of a desiccant agent used to remove pollutants such as oxygen and moisture. A flat panel display device includes a bank portion(131), a light emitting element(120), a dummy bank portion(135), a pollutant desiccant agent(160), and a sealing protecting layer(140). The bank portions are arranged in a predetermined pattern on a display region and define plural first apertures. The light emitting elements are arranged on the first apertures. The dummy bank portion is formed on a non-display region in the substantially same pattern as the bank portion and defines plural second apertures. The pollutant desiccant agent is arranged on the second aperture. The sealing protecting layer isolates the light emitting elements from outside and is made of at least two layers. Organic and inorganic layers are laminated in the sealing protection layer.
