A humidifying device (10) humidifying a humidified gas by vapor in the air, comprising a housing (12) and a blowing means (16) disposed at the air inlet (12c) of the housing (12) and leading air into the housing. The housing further comprises a hollow yarn bundle (14) formed by orienting a plurality of hollow yarns allowing the vapor to pass therethrough in a specified axial direction and a space for storing the hollow yarn bundle (14). The housing also comprises a humidified gas inlet (12a) communicating with the internal spaces of the hollow yarns, a humidified gas outlet (12b) communicating with the internal spaces of the hollow yarns, the air inlet (12c) communicating with the external spaces of the hollow yarns in the housing, and an air outlet (12d) communicating with the external spaces of the hollow yarns in the housing. The ratio of the cross sectional area of an air flow passage obtained by deducing the total of the cross sectional area of the hollow yarns from the cross sectional area of the housing (12) vertical to the axis of the space thereof to the total of the cross sectional areas of the hollow yarns vertical to the axes thereof is 0.1 to 0.7. |
