FIELD: equipment for machining of wire by grinding, said equipment being used for rounding of rectangular section wire ribs and deburring of wires. ^ SUBSTANCE: apparatus for machining of wire has rotating abrasive wheels arranged in the course of feeding of wire. Apparatus is furnished with two mechanisms for twisting of wire around its axis in opposite directions. One of said mechanisms is disposed upstream of abrasive wheels in the course of feeding of wire, and other mechanism is disposed downstream of abrasive wheels. Each of said mechanisms consists of set of gears rotated by drive, with number of gears corresponding to number of wires which are simultaneously subjected to machining process. Gear is equipped with axial opening for passage of wire and has bypass roller mounted for free rotation thereon in plane extending through axis of gear. ^ EFFECT: enhanced reliability in operation of apparatus and improved quality of machined wires. ^ 3 dwg |
