FIELD: mechanical engineering; materials handling facilities. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to overhead belt conveyors for transportation of lump and loose loads. Proposed conveyor contains posts, endless belt closed on drum forming carrying and return runs, disk rollers with rounded off rims installed on posts for rotation of axles and supporting the belt. Sides of belt are made with projections pointed inwards the contour. Return run of belt is arranged under carrying run with deflection providing arrangement of disk rollers between sides of carrying and return runs of belt with orientation of disk rollers in vertical plane and possibility of thrusting against projections of sides from side of longitudinal axis of belt. Cylindrical rollers are arranged from outer sides of carrying and return runs for rotation of axles and engaging with sides of belt. Each disk roller is arranged between cylindrical rollers in one vertical plane. ^ EFFECT: simplified design of conveyor and reduced cost owing to decrease of number of design components and provision of catching of both runs of broken belt of inclined conveyor. ^ 1 dwg
