The method involves providing a cover with two parts, where one part covers a safety air bag device (30). An end of inner and outer belts (60, 70) is fixed to respective edges of the cover. The cover is placed on a frame of a chair upholstery simultaneously with the installation or after the installation of the frame. The inner belt is placed at the frame while providing a partial immobilization to the inner belt. The device is fixed to the frame by sandwiching the inner belt between the device and frame. The outer belt is fixed on an accessible part of the frame and/or device. The two parts of the cover form an opening zone by reuniting their respective edges. An independent claim is also included for a trim unit of a seat of a vehicle.
