FIELD: production of furniture, in particular, wall-mounted drop-type benches and chairs which may be employed in rooms with restricted area. ^ SUBSTANCE: wall-mounted drop-type piece of furniture for sitting has back attached to wall, drop-type seat, pivotal units for attachment of drop-type seat, and two front supporting foldable legs pivotally attached to drop-type seat. Back is combined with rigid base and elastic working surface of convex shape maximally conforming to shape of individual's back. Pivotal units are attached directly to wall. Drop-type seat is located in pivotal units for rotational movement from horizontal operating position to vertical folded position, said rotational movement being performed by rotating said seat in downward direction. Axis of rotation is spaced from wall and, correspondingly, rear edge of drop-type seat by optimal distance defined by certain calculations. Supporting foldable legs are interconnected so as to be simultaneously rotated in longitudinal direction upon movement of at least one of said legs between operating position perpendicular to drop-type seat and folded position in parallel with drop-type seat by means of rotating device consisting of two rigid tie-rods pivotally joined with their one ends to supporting foldable legs and pivotally joining with their other ends to opposite sides of rotating connecting link which is pivotally secured to base of drop-type seat, so as to be rotated upon movement of supporting foldable legs and to be blocked upon cooperation with stop immovably fixed to base of drop-type seat. ^ EFFECT: simplified and compact construction of piece of furniture for sitting, wider operational capabilities and convenient usage. ^ 2 dwg |
