<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow appropriate control of a first idle air quantity by a bypass control valve by preventing collection of fuel and waterdrops in the bypass. <P>SOLUTION: An intake device for a multi-cylinder engine is equipped with a plurality of intake passages 2<SB>1</SB>, 2<SB>2</SB>and a plurality of bypasses 12<SB>1</SB>, 12<SB>2</SB>which bypass throttle valves 5<SB>1</SB>, 5<SB>2</SB>so as to be connected to the intake passages 2<SB>1</SB>, 2<SB>2</SB>, and a bypass control valve 10 which is commonly employed for opening/closing the bypasses. The bypass control valve 10 consists of a valve element 26 and a motor-driven actuator 25 for opening/closing the valve element 26 thereabove. A bypass upstream passage 12a disposed on the upstream side from the valve element 26 of the bypasses 12<SB>1</SB>, 12<SB>2</SB>is arranged at the lower part of the valve element 26. Idle air passages 37<SB>1</SB>, 37<SB>2</SB>reaching the intake passages 2<SB>1</SB>, 2<SB>2</SB>corresponding thereto are branched from the bypass upstream passage 12a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
