IMPROVED PROMOTOR ASSAY METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microorganism for assaying whether a chemical substance exists in a sample to be examined or not.

SOLUTION: In a promoter assay method using one or more kinds of recombinant microorganisms, at least one microorganism among one or more kinds of recombinant microorganisms is a transformed microorganism expressing a promoter activity in a definite level even in the absence of the chemical substance. The microorganism is obtained by transforming a microorganism with a vector containing a specific promoter derived from yeast.
