PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video and audio apparatus capable of changing only an item concerned when a user mistakes setting in regard to a certain function. SOLUTION: When the user sets predetermined set items, a control section 4 controls to display guidance information, such as information necessary for changing and an alarm, onto a television 10, according to a set change order from the user. By referring to the guidance information, the user operates a remote controller 12, so as to send an execution order when the set is to be changed, or a cancellation order when the set change is to be suspended. In case of receiving the execution order, the control section 4 rewrites the set information stored in a memory 6, while in case of receiving the cancellation order, the control section 4 does not rewrite the set information.
