PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heating apparatus of an electromagnetic induction heating system adjusting exoergic efficiency in a longitudinal direction intersecting the transporting direction of material to be heated of an exoergic member. SOLUTION: The image heating apparatus includes magnetic body cores 50a, 50b1 and 50b2 which are a plurality of magnetic body cores installed in a specified position giving influence to magnetic flux from a magnetic flux generating means 15 with the exoergic member 10 in-between and which are also in parallel along the longitudinal direction which intersects the transporting direction of the material to be heated, and the magnetic cores make a metallic layer 1 generate heat by making the magnetic flux from the magnetic flux generating means going through the exoergic member work on the metallic layer 1 of the exoergic member. Furthermore, a moving means 51 is provided to make specified magnetic cores 50b1 and 50b2 among the plurality of magnetic cores move toward a position not giving any influence to the magnetic flux from the magnetic flux generating means.
