PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus that allows information communication to be conducted, even during a standby state, and to provide a projector that incorporates the electronic apparatus. SOLUTION: The electronic apparatus includes a main CPU 20; a sub-CPU 30; a power source section 11 that supplies drive power to at least the main CPU 20 and the sub-CPU 30; and an operation part 12. Before being shifted to a standby state, based on an operation signal from the operation part 12, the main CPU 20 transmits parameter information, which is used as the object of communication with a personal computer 41, to the sub-CPU 30. Based on the operation signal from the operation part 12, the power source section 11 stops the supply of drive power to at least the main CPU 20 and continues supplying of drive power to the sub-CPU 30, and then shifts to the standby state. If there is a query from the personal computer 41 during the standby state, the sub-CPU 30 transmits the parameter information, corresponding to a command relating to the query.
