PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal ball detection sensor capable of preventing illicit remodeling, preventing external force at the sealing time, and taking environmental countermeasures at arrangement. SOLUTION: A detection hole 20 passed by a metal ball is provided in a body case 1, and a detection coil 6 is arranged so as to enclose the periphery of the detection hole 20 inside the case. A detection circuit, including an oscillator for detecting a change generated when the metal ball passes the detection hole by the detection coil 6, is provided. A sealing material 2 is filled on the non-mounting side of a circuit substrate 8 on which the detection circuit or the like is mounted, to thereby form this metal ball detection sensor having strong resistance against the influence due to external forces, such as heat or vibration.
