PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for finding operating state of a mixture of bone cement which can be hardened and is needed for an orthopedic surgery procedure, and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: The method for finding an operating state of the mixture of bone cement which can be hardened includes finding resonant frequency of the bone cement mixture. The resonant frequency can investigate correlation of a plurality of operating states including dough time, operation termination time and hardening time. The operating state when the bone cement mixture 12 in a container 10 hardens within a syringe 14 is supervised by a monitoring device 18. In the monitoring device 18, an electromagnetic transducer 22 generates an electromagnetic field of a desired frequency, generates a measuring microwave too, and hardening condition of the bone cement is measured.
