PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headrest device obtained by improving the conventional headrest device, effectively utilizing the conventional configuration to avoid difficulty in assembling and/or manufacturing work, attaining high-speed work, not requiring new training, achieving update of manufacturing equipment at a little cost and with small work, avoiding lowering of economic efficiency, and reducing the waste of equipment and/or material. SOLUTION: In this headrest device, a headrest provided on a seat back is elevated and/or tilted forward by a pair of link mechanisms and an actuating plate buried in the seat back, and in the stage where a shock is applied to the actuating plate, the actuating plate is lifted and/or tilted forward taking the link mechanisms as an origin. The headrest interlocking with the actuating plate can be lifted and/or tilted forward by the above lifting and/or tilting forward, whereby in the case of a collision, a whiplash injury, a neck injury and so on can be avoided.
