PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for mounting a footrest on a wheelchair which facilitates attachment and detachment of the footrest and also facilitates height adjustment of the footrest in relation to the structure for mounting the footrest of the wheelchair. SOLUTION: The structure 100 for mounting a footrest is mounted on a footrest frame 21 and a footrest supporting frame 22 arranged on a front frame of the wheelchair. The structure comprises a clamping section 23 that clamps the footrest supporting frame 22 and a hanging section 24 hung to the footrest frame 21. The hanging section 24 has a footrest fitting part 28 for fitting the footrest 21, an inserting part 29 for slidably inserting a sliding tube 27 with irregularities on its tube wall, and an adjusting part 26 having an engaging part in the almost middle of the inserting section 29.
