PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method of a track traveling related device in a vehicle for traveling on both track and road, and its control device capable of lightly pulling out a lock pin by reducing a press contact force between the lock pin and a pin hole in pulling out the lock pin. SOLUTION: The track traveling related device is equipped with tire wheels 12, 13 for traveling on road surface as shown Fig. 3, and a track traveling device 3 for traveling on track. The track traveling related device can lock the track traveling device 3 so as not to be moved down by the lock pin 42 in the storage position. In the control method for the track traveling related device, the lock pin 42 is released by once operating the track traveling device 3 to the storage side in such a state that the load applied on the lock pin 42 is removed in order to move the track traveling device 3 from the state locked by the lock pin 42 to an overhanging position side in the storage, and the track traveling device 3 is moved down to the overhanging position side afterward. Even when a large load is applied to the lock pin 42 in the storage state of the track traveling device 3, the lock pin 42 can be lightly pulled out thereby. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
