<p>A purifying agent containing at least one of fullerenes represented by the formula (1): F-Rm (1) (wherein F is a fullerene represented by Cn (C is a carbon atom and (n) is an integer of 60 or more), a carbon nanotube or a mixture thereof; Rm are (m) substituents linked to Cn and each independently and identically or differently represents a hydroxyl group, an ester group of the hydroxyl group with an inorganic acid or an organic acid, a glycoside group of the hydroxyl group with a saccharide, a ketal group of the hydroxyl group with a ketone or an acetal group of the hydroxyl group with an aldehyde) and their derivatives is used in a device, an apparatus or a member. Further, the purifying agent for fluids, solids and solid substances, which has an excellent scavenging effect on free radicals harmful to humans, a high ability of removing other harmful substances and high safety, which is easy to be handled and which retains the removing and detoxifying performance for a long period of time, and a means of purifying fluids and solid substances using the agent are provided.</p> |
