A polar coordinate modulating circuit wherein while the compensation precision being ensured, the amount of data to be stored in the memory can be reduced and the increase of the circuit scale related to the distortion compensation can be suppressed. According to the inventive polar coordinate modulating circuit, the output signal characteristic, which is related to a predetermined input amplitude of an input high-frequency signal and which is essential to the distortion compensation of an amplifier, for a control voltage in a steady state established after the application of the control voltage is divided and stored into an offset storing part (101a) for storing data to be used for summing predetermined DC offset voltages and also into a coefficient storing part (102) for storing data to be used for multiplying predetermined coefficients, whereby while the compensation precision being ensured, the circuit scale related to the distortion compensation can be reduced.
