A flux cored wire for electrogas arc welding capable of having good workability and securing low temperature toughness of a weld metal during ultra-high heat input welding with a welding heat input of 450 KJ/cm or more is provided. In a flux cored wire in which a flux is filled in a metallic outer layer, a flux cored wire for electrogas arc welding is characterized in that the flux comprises, by the weight percent of the wire, 0.3 to 1.5% of oxide, 0.1 to 1.0% of fluoride, a fluoride/oxide ratio of 0.75 to 1.50, 1.0 to 3.0% of Si+Mn, 0.15 to 0.70% of one or more selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca and Ba, 0.1 to 0.5% of one or more selected from the group consisting of Ti, B and Al, 0.8 to 3.0% of Ni, 0.3 to 0.6% of Mo, and 13 to 20% of iron powder.
