<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint with a simple structure in which transfer handling of a piece holding member equipped with a retaining piece can be rapidly and surely performed with a fingertip operation. <P>SOLUTION: The pipe joint in which a pipe B can be prevented from slipping off by pressing the piece 11 held by a piece holding member 8 to a tapered surface 2a where an end-side portion formed in an inner surface of a joint body A is defined as a small diametrical portion. The piece holding member 8 is equipped with a plurality of piece holding fragments 10 extending axially from a ring-like body 9 and then by arranging the piece 11 inside a slit 6 formed in an inner circumferential surface of the joint body, the piece holding member is prevented from turning. Further, a turning operation ring 12 is arranged in a position exposed outward and by providing a cam 14 in the turning operation ring 12 to turn the turning operation ring 12, the ring-like body 9 runs upon the cam 14, so that the piece holding member 8 is allowed to move in an axial and outward direction of an opening end of the joint body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
