<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure tissue information related to the muscle development of the skeletal muscle without using a method from a body specificating information in an estimation method of the skeletal muscle tissue layer. <P>SOLUTION: One of a current application electrode pair is disposed adjacent to the upper-part upper end of the rectus abdominis muscle tissue layer in the lower part of the solar plexus in the trunk surface side, and the other is disposed in the lumbar division lower part of the back face so as to increase the energizing amount to the splanchnic organ tissue and the visceral fat tissue in the inside of the skeletal muscle tissue. One of a voltage measuring electrode pair for measuring the visceral fat tissue is disposed apart so as to ignore the effect of the spreading resistance by the current application electrode, and the other is disposed adjacent to the navel circumference on the rectus abdominis muscle tissue layer so as to measure a bioelectrical impedance of the trunk abdominal part. A different voltage measuring electrode pair are further disposed on the rectus abdominis muscle tissue to measure the impedance of the rectus abdominis muscle; and the amount of the trunk visceral fat tissue is found using the measured rectus abdominis muscle tissue layer impedance and the trunk abdominal part bioelectrical impedance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
