PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new contrivance for relaxing the effect of dispersion in semiconductor elements configuring an amplifier function element on post-stage circuits. SOLUTION: An output circuit 88 is provided with a sample-hold unit 230a for extracting a signal level in a signal transfer state from a pixel signal S2 output from an output amplifier 210, and a sample-hold unit 230b for extracting a signal level in a reset state from the pixel signal S2 output from the output amplifier 210. An output buffer 250 generates an output signal 33out on the basis of a difference between signals 33sig, 33ref extracted by the two sample-hold units 230a, 230b. Since it is contrived that element dispersion similarly affects both the signals 33sig, 33ref, the output signal 33out includes no component of the element dispersion by taking a difference between both the signals 33sig, 33ref to produce the output signal 33out, and the effect of the dispersion of the elements configuring the output amplifier 210 on the post-stage processing circuits can be excluded.
