PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mat switch with little non-sensible part in spite of its simple structure, capable of exerting a good switching function even if a bottom area of a substance impressing a load is small, excellent in restoring function at switch-off conversion, and easy to carry by rolling it up. SOLUTION: The mat switch is composed of a lower electrode 2 made of textile-shaped conductor; a lattice-shaped insulator 3 formed into lattice shape of about 10×10 mm by using elastic insulation material having a diameter of about 1 mm, laminated on the lower electrode 2; an upper electrode 4 made of textile-shaped conductor, laminated on the lattice-shaped insulator 3; an elastic buffer material 5 made of sponge or the like. having a thickness of about 2 mm, laminated on the upper electrode 4; and an envelope 6 made of rubber or the like covering outer periphery of the lower electrode 2, the lattice-shaped insulator 3, the upper electrode 4, and the elastic buffer material 6.
