PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator having an odorless vegetable chamber while preventing the rise of temperature in the refrigerator and a decrease in the total moisture content by allowing discharge of moisture at a comparatively low temperature. SOLUTION: A humidifier 800 enclosed in a box body 810 is installed. The box body 810 is partitioned by a partition wall 840 into an adsorption chamber 820 with an adsorption side fan 52 installed communicating with the outside of the refrigerator, and a desorption chamber 830 with a desorption side fan 53 installed communicating with the vegetable chamber 300, and a desiccant rotor 50 is installed to straddle them. Moisture in air outside the refrigerator adsorbed in the adsorption chamber 820 is desorbed by air in the refrigerator in the desorption chamber 830 to humidify the vegetable chamber 300. The desiccant rotor 50 is composed of a silicon material provided with a large number of pores with a pore diameter of 1.5-2.5 nm and shows a characteristic rapidly increased in the equilibrium amount of adsorption when relative humidity varies from 30% to 40%.
