PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical molded ice block making device capable of easily and quickly making desired molded ice blocks, being easily handled, allowing every body to easily mold ice, continuously and quickly melting material ice blocks in a mold recess, smoothly draining the water in the mold recess, making the molded ice blocks fitted to the mold recess without moving the material ice block horizontally to an upper mold, reducing production of defective pieces, surely, smoothly and quickly taking out the molded ice blocks with a simple constitution, being suitably used for mass-production, and being inexpensively mechanized and automated. SOLUTION: In this molded ice block making device, the molding recessed portion 1 of a lower mold A and the outside of the mold A are connected to form a drain hole 3 for draining the melted water in the molding recess 1, and further the inside of a molding recess 2 of the upper mold B and the outside of the mold B are connected to form a draining/sucking passage 4 for draining the melted water in the molding recess 2, and sucking the material ice blocks and the molded ice blocks.
