PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change generated noise patterns by phase-adjusting contact of a link of a chain and a sprocket tooth. SOLUTION: A silent chain 10 and the sprocket assembly comprise a random chain assembly, and a pair of phase-adjusted sprockets. One embodiment of the chain assembly comprises a link having a pair of dag portions 30, 32 and a link 24 having a single dag portion 46.
