PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide synthetic paper excellent in a shape retaining property at bending and having characteristics that have strong surface impact strength and proper hand-cutting property. SOLUTION: The synthetic paper comprises a thermoplastic resin containing 20-87 mass% of styrene based polymer (A); 10-60 mass% of a soft olefin based resin (B) having a melt flow rate at 230°C and 21.2 N load of 5 g/10 min or less; and 3-20 mass% of an aromatic vinyl-conjugated diene block copolymer and/or its hydrogenation product (C) [based on total 100 mass% of (A)-(C)]. (B) comprises 20-100 mass% of an amorphous olefin based polymer (B1) and 0-80 mass% of a crystalline olefin based polymer (B2) [based on 100 mass% of (B)] and the total amount of dispersion particle component in (A) and conjugated diene polymer block in (C) and/or its hydrogenation product is 18 mass% or more [based on total 100 mass% of (A) and (C)].
