PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for correcting a glass blank by which the flatness of the plate-shaped glass blank can easily be corrected. SOLUTION: The method for correcting the glass blank includes: a supply step for supplying softened plate-like glass blanks 3 on a carrier belt 20 for continuously carrying the glass blanks 3 in a heating furnace 50; and a correction step for correcting the flatness of each glass blank 3 by carrying the glass blanks 3 while applying a load to the glass blanks 3 on the carrier belt 20 in the heating furnace 50.
