PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an allergen-inhibiting compound which can inhibit allergens in a small amount without deteriorating the touches of daily commodity, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This allergen-inhibiting compound is characterized by comprising a compound containing as a constituting unit a unit produced by directly binding phenol nuclei to each other by an oxidative coupling reaction. The allergen-inhibiting compound can be supplied to an allergen target substance to impart an allergen-inhibiting effect to the allergen target substance even under an ordinary humidity in a dairy life.
