<p>Disclosed herein an input device for electronic equipment requiring input and output of letters/numbers/symbols. The input device of the present invention includes at least one input means (10), a processor (20), a mode switching key (30), and monitoring means (40). The input means (10) has a handle for pointing in respective locations, obtained by dividing a circle into 12 sections, and a center location of the circle, and a handle sensor for sensing a moving course of the handle. The processor (20) processes a handle moving course sensing signal through programs and logic circuits and transmits the processed signal to monitoring means. The mode switching key (30) performs mode switching to allow the processor to identify selection of the input means as letters/numerals/symbols. The monitoring means (40) separately displays the processed signal, pre-stored letters/numerals/symbols, and a movement map of the handle corresponding to the letters/numerals/symbols.</p> |
