<p>A method for managing a candidate set in the CDMA2000 1x EV system is provided to prevent a call disconnection phenomenon while a service of a mobile communication terminal is being used and thereby to enhance QoS(Quality of Service). A method for managing a candidate set in the CDMA2000 1x EV system comprises the following several steps. The CDMA2000 1x EV system resets a timer according as a mobile communication terminal is connected to one base station included in an activated set and is transited into a traffic state(S10). It is checked whether backward FER(Frame Error Rate) received from the mobile communication terminal is larger than a preset value(S20). If so, it is checked whether a path update message is received from the mobile communication terminal(S30). If the path update message is not received, it is checked whether the timer is terminated, and it is checked whether the path update message is received until the timer is terminated(S40). If the timer is terminated before the path update message is received, the mobile communication terminal is requested to include candidate base station set related information at the path update message and to transmit the path update message(S50). According as the path update message is received from the mobile communication terminal, a traffic channel is allocated between one base station, included in the candidate set, and the mobile communication terminal by referring to the candidate set information(S60).</p> |
