PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable communication equipment which has a function of protecting information for only the portable communication equipment and can be used as a storage device by being connected to an external device such as a PC (personal computer). SOLUTION: The portable communication equipment 1 is provided with an external communicating means 14 for communicating with the external device 2 and a storage means 10 for exchanging information through the external communicating means 14, wherein the storage means 10 has a protective area 11 and a nonprotective area 12, a protection module 13 is provided between the external communicating means 14 and the storage means 10, and the protection module performs information protection management in the protective area 11 and information exchange management in the non-protective area based on a signal from the external device 2.
