PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone set capable of simultaneously establishing calls based on line exchange communication and calls based on packet exchange communication while improving user's convenience, and to provide a communication method of the telephone set and a server apparatus to be used for the communication. SOLUTION: When VoIP calling is executed between a transmitting side cellular phone 100-1 and receiving side cellular phones 100-2 to 100-4 through the server apparatus 200, the receiving side cellular phone 100-4 starts the transmission/reception of communication data concerned with line calling and transmits the start information to the server apparatus 200. The server apparatus 200 receiving the start information converts the voice data of VoIP calling sent from the cellular phone 100-1 into character data and transmits the character data to the cellular phone 100-4. The cellular phone 100-4 displays the character data sent from the server apparatus 200 on a display part 108 and outputs voice of line calling from a loudspeaker 105. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
