PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorption water cooler/heater capable of reducing solution quantity, shortening a starting time in starting an operation and a dilution time in stopping the operation, increasing a degree of freedom in installing an apparatus, surely supplying the solution even in starting and the like, and continuing the operation. SOLUTION: In this absorption water cooler/heater, an intermediate-temperature regenerator 11 is constituted by a falling liquid film-type regenerator to which the dilute solution of low concentration is sprayed from an upper portion of a pipe group 12 of the intermediate-temperature regenerator 11 through a spraying device 14. A liquid reservoir 15 is mounted at a solution outlet portion of the intermediate-temperature regenerator 11 to temporarily reserve the solution flowing out from the intermediate-temperature regenerator 11. Further a flow adjusting means is mounted for adjusting the flow of the solution sprayed to the pipe group 12 in the intermediate-temperature regenerator 11 in accordance with a height of a liquid level of the liquid reservoir 15. The flow adjusting means adjusts the solution to flow by the quantity more than that predetermined as an inflow quantity to the intermediate-temperature regenerator 11 when the height of liquid level of the liquid reservoir 15 reaches a height more than predetermined upper limit height.
