摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing gel particles effectively applicable even to a physiologically active substance insoluble or slightly soluble in water. SOLUTION: The method for producing the gel particles is carried out as follows. A solution containing a polymer modified with a xanthene dye and a hydrogen donor in an organic solvent is added to an aqueous solvent incompatible with the organic solvent and dispersed. The resultant suspension is irradiated with visible light to cross-link and cure the polymer in the dispersed particles in the presence of the hydrogen donor. Thereby, the gel particles are obtained. Since the polymer and the hydrogen donor are dissolved in the organic solvent and the resultant solution in the organic solvent is added to the aqueous solvent and suspended in the method, the physiologically active substance is dissolved in the solution in the organic solvent.
