PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting stick, solving the problems that since it is troublesome to carry a light such as a flash light in addition to the stick, a light source cannot be simply held, although the stick is generally dark brown so that it is deficient in its presence in the darkness, since the same is said with a white stick, a solution for this point cannot be found, what a warning method in walking a pedestrian crossing is like, and any substitute for an SOS signal in case of distress is not obtained. SOLUTION: In this light emitting stick, the stick is formed to be hollow using light-transmitting and strong raw material, and incorporated with a light emitting diode (R/W LED) module, which has long life and low power consumption, and is intermittently lighted red/white, a battery, a change-over switch, and a red/white alternately and intermittently lighting device, whereby white lighting and red/white alternately intermittent lighting are performed at need for foot lighting, making the presence of the stick clear, warning in walking a pedestrian crossing and substituting for an SOS signal in case of distress.
