<p>The core of a switch system and method for switching a WiMAX stream, includes: a stream processing unit and a stream switch unit; receiving a WiMAX stream transmitted by the stream processing unit through the stream switch unit, and switching a connection identifier of the WiMAX stream to a connection identifier corresponding to the next hop, and transmitting the switched WiMAX stream to the stream processing unit through the set stream port. By the invention, as long as define a mapping and switching relationship between it and the WiMAX stream, it can adopt the WiMAX stream switching to support the interoperability between different WiMAX nodes; then, it can unite a variety of switching technology into a switching technology, thereby simplify the transmitting port of the WiMAX node and reduce the cost; further, only map the stream twice, it can realize the interoperability between different WiMAX nodes, thereby decrease the interoperability transport time delay between different WiMAX nodes. In addition, the invention set the stream switching unit in the central switch board so that lower the complexity of the WiMAX node and make bulky WiMAX stream switching possible.</p> |
