A method and a server for performing personalized search using a bookmark list of a web browser are provided to offer a personalized search service to each user in case that user information is not stored in a search server or the user is not logged in, and offer the search service reflecting user preference by statistically analyzing the bookmark list received from each user terminal. A reception interface(210) receives the bookmark list set to the web browser from each user terminal. A personalized information register(220) stores a URL(Uniform Resource Locator) and a site name to a personalized search database(225) by associating with the user terminal. An information searcher(230) searches the site name including a query term received from the user terminal and the URL corresponding to the site name. A list maker(240) generates the search result including the searched URLs and a personalized search result list including the generated search results. A transmission interface(250) provides the made personalized customer result list to the user terminal.
